Back from the clinic...

Andrew's fever was 103.2 when he woke up from his nap. We're on day 2 of the fever, so I called the nurse advisor line and they had him come in since he has no other symptoms (other then being lethargic). I just got back from the appointment (very nice how they made an appointment so we didn't have to sit at walk-in; they have a Pediatric Urgent Care) and the nurse practiotioner didn't see anything else (ears perfect, as I figured; throat looked good; nothing respiratory). She said if it IS influenza, he will start coughing soon; she said usually that happens after the first 24 hours, and we're going on 30 hours. She said if he still has the fever without symptoms on Thursday, then I have to take him in so they can rule out a kidney infection, bladder infection, or meningitis. I hope my little dragon is just fine! Please keep him in your thoughts.

Oh, and he weighs 23.5 lbs. now! Tomorrow he turns 18 months.

Random fevers are no fun! Hope he feels better.

I hope he feels better soon. I'm glad to know I don't have the only skinny boy (Lex was 23.5lbs at his 15 month well child at the beginning of the month). The random fevers are the worst, Lex developed one this afternoon, I'm pushing lots of tylenol and ibuprofen and it seems to help.
