What's the weather like where you are?

We are experiencing this lovely November rain (cue GNR, right?). It's cold, it's dreary, and it's typical for this time of year in Wisconsin. When I was a kid, I remember always having snow, at least some of it, by Thanksgiving. The past few years, we haven't gotten our first snow until December. Weather like this makes me just want to stay inside all day in my pajamas. That's okay -- sometimes when it's nice, like in the summer, I feel like it's a rush to get out of the house every day and go do stuff on the weekends, whereas this time of year, I can relax a little. I can play with the kids and get some cleaning done and feel like there is no organization to our schedule, which is kind-of a nice change from my day-to-day rush out the door before work.

We get the joy of putting plastic over our "lovely" window in the living room -- it's a huge picture window facing north -- whoever designed this house should be shot -- although, it was built in the early '60s, when the heating expenses were no big deal. People probably opened up their doors when it was twenty below and heated their front yards for all I know. All of the other windows were replaced at some point, but this big one was not, and even though it is double-paned, if we don't get plastic over it soon, we definitely lose some heat through it.

If this isn't the most boring, detailed post about weather and windows, I don't know what is!

OMG we are just southwest of the twin cities and it is snowing like crazy!! It is such a heavy, wet snow. I was just watching a couple cars get unstuck from our street that hasn't been plowed yet.

It's really heavy wet snow. I'm hoping that it melts before the next round of snow.

Well, I live in Florida and have no idea what a real winter is like. We just had a cold front go by that was pretty nice. It got down into the 40's at night which is cold for us. But it's warmed up again and back into the 80's.
